I spoke with you less than 24 hours before you left us. I keep going back to that call, looking for something I should have heard, and finding nothing but you, asking how everyone was doing, the way you always did. We all looked forward to catching up on Saturday, the fateful day. We have cried. We have pinched ourselves waiting to wake up from a bad dream. We are still waiting.
Bro Remi, there are no words to describe this stabbing pain, our hearts ache. You were a warrior from birth, a great man. Intelligent, loving, and steady. You led the family with candor and with grace, and you made sure every one of us was okay long before you ever thought of yourself. You loved God and you loved your family, and anyone who spent five minutes with you knew both.
Heaven is rejoicing. Our angel has come home.
Oloriebi, you have left a vacuum. Our hearts are heavy. But we rejoice, because we know where you are, and we know you are wearing your crown.
Rest well, our beloved Bro Remi,as we lovingly referred to you, aka oloriebi.
Olusegun, Olusolape, Toluwani, Oluwaleye, Oluwaseye, loves you eternally.

My earliest memory of my older brother Aderemi (Bros Remi) was of someone who was very quiet, not shy but somewhat reserved. He was kind-hearted in a way that was never performative — it was simply who he was. He was generous and patient with people, even when his generosity and patience cost him something. He listened before he spoke, and when he did speak, his words carried weight because they came from a place of genuine care. He blossomed as an attorney, his meticulous attention to detail, a well-known trait— nothing escaped his careful eye, no matter how small.
Aderemi leaves behind a legacy not measured in years, but in lives changed, hearts comforted, and souls pointed toward Christ. Every person he counseled, every congregation member he pastored, every room he calmed simply by walking into it — all of it was ministry. All of it was worship.
Bros Remi I will miss your laugh, our prayer sessions, wisdom you imparted in my times of impatience (which were many), your steadying hand, and gentle presence. In this I am glad, that you’ve heard the voice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ welcoming you into eternity with these words: “Well done, good and faithful servant”.

Hmnn, Uncle Remi,
It is with a very heavy heart that I try to put words to this grief. I never imagined I would be writing something like this. After we spoke on Thursday, my heart was full of peace and thanksgiving. I truly believed we had overcome the battle. So when I received the news of your passing on Saturday, it was a shock I still struggle to understand.
My mind was flooded with questions—why now, why you? How could someone so faithful, so devoted to God, be taken so suddenly? You even had plans to go to camp after your discharge for the annual RCCG convention, a programme you faithfully attended year after year. It felt unfair, and for a moment, I questioned everything. But even in this pain, I hold on to one truth: God makes no mistakes. His wisdom is perfect, even when our hearts cannot make sense of it.
You were so much more than a brother-in-law to me, Uncle Remi. You were my small daddy, as I always called you—a steady source of quiet strength and guidance. Your home was my second home, a place where joy was nurtured and love was freely shared with anyone who walked through the door. Thank you for the kindness you showed me, for the respect you always gave me, and for welcoming me completely as family. The way you loved my sister and devoted yourself to your children spoke louder than words ever could. For all of this, and so much more, my gratitude runs deep.
You were a man of few words—quiet, but deep. You carried yourself with a calm dignity and gave yourself wholeheartedly to your family as a devoted husband, a loving father, a dependable brother, and a faithful son. You made quiet sacrifices to ensure your family never lacked, and you taught your children discipline, honesty, and responsibility through the way you lived. Your gentle strength and steady presence revealed the true depth of your character.
I take comfort in knowing that in your later years, when God called you to serve, you answered fully. You served Him with your whole heart and remained faithful until your last days. Through life’s challenges, your faith remained steadfast, and you used the strength God gave you to lift and encourage others. That faith and quiet devotion will continue to live on in your children and in the hearts of all of us who were blessed to have known you. Your example stays with us, your influence stays with us, and your legacy rests securely in God.
Sleep well, Uncle Remi. You will be sorely missed.
May God grant you perfect rest, keep you in His peace, and hold you close until we meet again.
Your sister-in-love,

It is with a deeply saddened heart that I pay tribute to my dear brother-in-law, Remi Daniel, whose sudden passing came as a rude and painful shock to me and our entire family.
There are some people who come into our lives through family but, with time, become much more than the relationship that brought us together. You were one of those people to me. You were not simply my brother-in-law; you were a brother, a friend, and someone whose kindness
and warmth I will always remember.
You treated me with genuine love, and respect. Your kindness was never forced or conditional— it was simply part of who you were. I will always be grateful for the many ways you made me feel welcomed, valued, and truly part of the family.
It is extremely difficult for me to accept that you are gone so suddenly. I believed there would still be many more years, many more conversations, family gatherings, laughter, and memories to share. Instead, we are left with the painful reality of your absence and the precious memories of the life you lived.
Though your departure has left a void that cannot easily be filled, I choose to remember you for the good man you were and for the kindness you showed me. Life may be measured in years, but a person’s true legacy is measured by the lives they touched, the love they gave, and the memories they left behind. By that measure, your life was meaningful indeed.
Thank you for being so kind to me. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for being a wonderful brother-in-law and, more importantly, a brother to me.
Your passing reminds me once again just how fragile and unpredictable life can be. While my heart is heavy, I pray that God grants you eternal rest and gives all of us who mourn you the needed strength and comfort to bear this painful loss.
Rest peacefully, my dear brother. You left us far too soon.
You will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

We deeply mourn the passing of our dear friend, leader, passionate worker,
lover of God and humanity, Pastor Andrew Aderemi Daniel. He was a pillar of
grace, humility, and love at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG)
Fruitful Vine Parish. While our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a life beautifully
lived in service to God and humanity.
Pastor Daniel's gentle spirit brought peace to our Parish, and his burning
passion for God's work inspired us all to serve harder. He was an exceptional
leader who believed in the potential of every believer and intentionally
encouraged and empowered every member to discover, develop, and use their
unique gifts to expand God's kingdom.
His absence leaves a vast, irreplaceable void in our parish. We will deeply miss
his warm smiles, his wise counsel, his encouraging words, and his fervent
prayers.
While our hearts are heavy with grief, we rejoice knowing that he has entered
the joy of his Master. He fought a good fight, he finished his course, and he kept
the faith.
To our beloved Pastor Jumoke Daniel and the entire family of our late Pastor,
we extend our deepest, prayerful condolences. We stand shoulder to shoulder
with you in this season of grief, bearing this heavy burden as one body in
Christ.
We pray that the Holy Spirit, the ultimate Comforter, wraps you in His
supernatural peace and fills your hearts with strength that surpasses human
understanding. Pastor Daniel loved you fiercely, and his incredible legacy of
faith lives on brightly through you.
Take comfort in knowing that we do not mourn like those without hope (1
Thessalonians 4:13). We look forward to the glorious resurrection morning
when we shall meet to part no more.
Adieu Pastor
